ChatGPT + invideo = Amazing!

Have you ever wished you could create engaging videos as hooks for your students, without dedicating hours to scripting, producing, and editing? I know I have! Imagine my excitement when I learned that ChatGPT has partnered with invideo.io!

ChatGPT, renowned for its advanced language model capabilities, has become an indispensable tool for educators in generating text-based content, ranging from lesson plans to informative scripts. The integration with invideo takes this a step further by transforming these scripts into engaging video content

In my Math lesson, for example, I used this integration to a novel effect. I wanted my students to demonstrate their understanding of rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, and 1000 by creating short instructional videos. To elevate their engagement, I framed the task as a 'mission,' adding an element of excitement and purpose to their learning journey

The Script

Create an interesting backstory for a task that requires students to create a short 1 minute video to teach someone how to round numbers to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000.

I used this prompt with several AI tools - ChatGPT, Google's Bard, and Microsoft's Co-pilot - and based on their inputs, I eventually crafted this script.

Agent Digit is hot on the trail of a villain known as "The Rounder." This nefarious mastermind uses their knowledge of rounding to commit crimes across different time periods! To stop him, Agent Digit needs to recruit junior agents.

Help Agent Digit train up new junior agents by creating a training video on rounding. Teach them how to quickly round a number to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000 and how your method works.

Help them become skilled Time-Traveling Detectives and capture The Rounder for good!

The Video

Create a video using the following script...

To bring this script alive, I used ChatGPT's integration with invideo to create the video.

My thoughts

This is definitely a game-changer, as it empowers educators to effortlessly create high-quality, engaging content, thereby enriching the learning experience for students. Although the video isn't perfect, the fact that it was created in less than 5 minutes makes it a tool I'll definitely use repeatedly!

Have you tried using ChatGPT's integration with invideo? I'd love to hear about your experiences and the creative ways you've incorporated these tools into your lessons!
